Below we inform you in a transparent manner about the use of so-called cookies on this website (hereinafter the “Site”), in accordance with Directive 2009/136/EC and the corresponding Regulation of the Data Protection Commissioner No. 229/2014.

Defintion of “cookies”.

Cookies are short pieces of text (letters and/or numbers) sent by the Site and stored by your browser on the specific device you are using (computer, tablet, smartphone) and contain information that can be reused during the same visit to the Site or later, even days later. Cookies are stored based on user preferences.

In addition, with the introduction of HTML5, various forms of local storage and related technologies, such as web beacons, tracking pixels, and clear GIFs, are available and can be used to collect information about user behavior, choices, and service usage.

In this document, we use the term “cookies” to refer to cookies and all similar technologies for simplicity.

Types of Cookies

Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish two macro categories:

• Technical or session cookies. These are cookies that are essential for the proper functioning of the site and are used to manage login and access to restricted functions of the site. The duration of cookies is strictly limited to the working session (they are deleted when the browser is closed), with the exception of cookies of longer duration, which are exclusively intended to recognize the visitor’s computer/device for a limited period of time, through an alphanumeric code generated during the first login session. Disabling them interferes with the use of services that can be accessed by logging in. The public part of the site will continue to function normally.

Also included in this category are “analytics cookies,” which are used only in aggregate form to collect and analyze traffic and to monitor site performance and usage anonymously. Pursuant to Article 122(1) of Leg. 196/03 (“Privacy Code”), (in the version in force following the entry into force of Legislative Decree 69/2012), profiling and marketing cookies may only be used if the user has given his or her consent, after having been informed in the simplified manner provided for in Article 13 of the Privacy Code and EU Regulation 2016/679.

Coderblock website uses cookies of the aforementioned type only after obtaining the user’s explicit and specific consent to the processing of data.

Thirds parties cookies

When you visit a website, you may receive cookies either from the site you are visiting (“owner”) or from sites operated by other organizations (“third parties”). The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant disclosures, which you should consult. For the sake of transparency and convenience, the web addresses of the various disclosures and the treatment of third party cookies are shown in the table in the banner displayed when accessing the site.

Social Network

The Site uses certain third-party cookies called “pixels or beacons,” such as the pixel from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Youtube or other social web service providers. These cookies allow third parties to collect data about the visits of users who are browsing the Coderblock.com website and to interact with them directly on their favorite social networks. The Company does not share any browsing information or user data collected through its site with social networks and web services.

Cookies duration

Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until the browser is closed or the logout command is executed. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are available for subsequent user visits. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is set by the server when they are created. In some cases an expiration date is specified, in others the duration is unlimited. Communication and dissemination of data

Data collected using cookies may only be processed by specifically authorized personnel. In addition, such data may be disclosed to third parties, only if specifically appointed as data processors, for the performance of certain services related to existing relationships (e.g., consultants, service companies, web agencies, freelancers).

Data collected using own cookies will not be disseminated and will not be given to third parties. The data collected using third-party cookies may be subject to transfer outside the European Economic Area (EEA), for purposes of technical or statistical management of the collected data, this will take place exclusively in full compliance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR”), to third countries, for which the European Commission has recognized specific guarantees of adequacy or adequate guarantees of personal data protection have been provided by signing Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission under the decision 2010/87/EU for transfers of personal data between EU countries to non-EU COUNTRIES.

Information appendix for social media platforms

Coderblock, as the data controller indicated pursuant to Article 13 of the EU Regulation 2016/679 in the privacy policy published at the following link https://coderblock.com/it/policies/privacy, is required to notify any users who may access Coderblock’s pages, including from the various social media platforms used (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Twitter, Linkedin) or through other social channels, which Coderblock may use from time to time in its digital marketing campaigns. The aforementioned social networks are jointly qualified as Data Controllers of the statistical data made available by the social platform provider itself, in accordance with the provisions of the judgment C-210/16 of June 5, 2018 of the Court of Justice of the European Union.

The tools made available by social network platforms for displaying statistics (e.g. Insights for Facebook) provide data in an anonymous and aggregate form, in fact the data controller named in the privacy policy above, despite the appointment as joint controller with social network provider has no way to trace the details of users as well as provided in the information published by the provider, regarding statistical type processing (e.g., “The data controller is not responsible for the data processing of the users. Rights of the data subject

You may at any time exercise your rights vis-à-vis the data controller, pursuant to Articles 15-22 of EU Regulation 2016/679, and in particular the rights of access, rectification, integration and, in permitted cases the portability of the data provided, as well as to obtain the deletion, restriction or opposition to the processing of data for legitimate reasons and to object to automated decision-making, including profiling, by contacting the Data Controller at the above address or by sending an email to the appointed DPO at dpo@coderblock.com.

In order to ensure the protection of the data subject’s personal information, we may need to request additional specific information that confirms the identity of the requesting data subject and thus guarantee his or her right to access the information (or to exercise any of his or her other rights) only to persons entitled to receive such communications. This is another suitable security measure for the protection of personal data.

Requesting access to your personal information (or to exercise any of the above rights) is free of charge. However, if the request is clearly unfounded or excessive we may charge a reasonable fee taking into account the administrative costs incurred in providing the information or refuse to comply with the request under such circumstances.
